RDP with MC and Windows 10 Pro
« on: August 17, 2017, 10:03:08 pm »

Today I decided to try switching from WIn2012 server to Win10 Pro. I used a spare SSD, installed Win10 Pro with latest updates, MC 23 and Audiophile Optimizer 2.1.
Everything works great when running during an RDP session to my headless server. If I exit the RDP session it logs me off my Windows session and I then stop getting sound.

I know this is a simple issue but how do you stop Windows 10 Pro from logging you out when you end your session? It did not do this with Win2012.

Have you tried using tscon to exit? e.g. https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=97028.0

Rdpwrap might be another option as I believe that allows multiple concurrent sessions - https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=110864.0

Are you running MC's Media Server when you start up Windows?

Yes. I have both the service and the app set to autostart.

I tried the tscon command but the music still stops. The odd thing is that this all worked perfectly with Win2012r2 server.

I will give TeamViewer a try next.
