Ripping in FLAC to NAS
« on: December 21, 2017, 08:20:26 am »

I'm using MC23 on an iMAC to rip a CD in FLAC, directly to a QNAP NAS. The file is written to the correct Multimedia folder on the NAS and is visible and playable through JRiver on the iMac. But it's not recognised as a music file by the Twonky and Minimserver DLNA/UPnP mediaservers on the NAS, or AURALiC Lightning Server. Following this exact procedure using MC23 in a Windows based system together with the same NAS all goes well.
I'm no regular MAC user (sorry), so can anybody tell me what am I doing wrong? Thnx beforehand!

Maybe you're ripping to a format that they don't expect.

Thnx Jim. All 3 servers can find Flac when ripped through Windows system, but not visible when ripping from iMac.. Seems something wrong with the way the folder is stored.
