making a "collection" and normalize output
« on: May 13, 2018, 07:29:24 am »

In the past I had some input here on playlists and to make them sound as one album.

I am old school. Before I put the sound of a collection on a cd in a folder, and then of course one song sounded louder than another.

I don't understand the difference between putting the songs in a compilation in one folder and putting a real playlist (does that means it plays from different folders, instead of the new folder you copied the songs in?

Well I want it simple. I have made a folder with all the songs Roger Waters played during the Antwerp concert I attended a few days ago. Then in JRiver started new play list, and then put them all in from that new folder. I renamed the album in every track one by one as " Us and them", same for the Pink Floyd as artist to Roger Waters. Tagged them, then analyzed audio, then put the folder where I assembled the songs, onto an external drive, that I use to play the files on another computer connected to my stereo. Well as the folder, contains the files selected, and renumbered to be in the right order of the concert, the biggest problem is that sound output of every track is still not same.  These are different albums, so even with analyzing   the tracks, sound output is different on every track.

How to do what I want as simple as possible?

in DSP Studio you must have Volume Leveling checked.(Along with your analyzed files) As well as this works nothing is perfect and some songs may not perform as you want this could be due to the song it self and come on it's Pink Floyd (Roger Waters)

Yes by map, means folder. I already made the new collection there.  Then open it in JRiver. So all that is left to do, is  that JRiver, not only plays the files having the same level of out^put, but also the meaning is that all the files would have the same loudness, when I copy them to another unit, like a MP 3 Player, a hard disc connected to another device, like a media player...

You need to convert the tracks with volume leveling enabled if your device does not support ReplayGain tags.

I'll change map to folder above.

Still have one problem.  I changed in JRiver, the interpretator, where necessary. From Pink Floyd, to Roger Waters, and the album to Us and them Tour.
I delete existing tags, and then Tagged gain after these changes.

But on my phone The songs are still tagged as they were before. So the name of the album, the picture and the Singer, will be the original, as before changing tags.

Are you using Media Center to convert/sync these tracks for your phone, or just copying files via Explorer?
You need to convert the tracks to bake them into the file.
