check for updates is broken
« on: May 16, 2003, 11:56:29 am »

I have been running Media Center 9 beta 9.0.88 for a month or so, and periodicaly run 'check for updates'  It always returns a window called MJREader with content 'Failed to connect to a server.'  Until now I thought that this meant that the beta was still the only thing available, but today I received an email indicating that the Media Center official release was out, so now I think 'check for updates' is broken.

I can of course download the latest version from J River, hoping that will fix the 'check for updates' problem but the site doesn't giving install advice like 'install over beta version,' or 'uninstall previous version, then install new version' and can this be done without blowing the license code?

Just download and install.  That's all you need to do.

Thanks Jim. Install went fine, and 'check for update' now reports that I have the latest version.
