Feature request - allpass filter
« on: February 02, 2022, 05:41:24 am »

Hi! Can you add the allpass filter to the equalizer filters? I can't use the external DSP without it. I can handle everything else within the DSP Studio but this feature is really missing.
Thank you.

Could you explain why you need it?

It's a longstanding request, e.g. https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,99096.msg685880.html#msg685880

Can be useful in a variety of circumstances, integrating multiple subwoofers is one such case.

Helps in phase alignment when making a 3-way active crossover.

The all pass filters I've found all take a focus frequency.  Does that seem expected to you all?

Yup, and that implementation uses "center frequency" as well.  I coded an all pass a few years ago and left it commented out.  I'll try to bring it back to life.

I've been wondering where the all-pass filter was in DSP studio... it really should be there.

Having it can really come in handy.
