My Archos AV380 is detected as a handheld. MC is useless at uploading files. The AV300 series has three files system roots, one each for DivX & XviD, MP3, and JPEG photos. MC needs to be able to place the correct file types into the correct roots.
When uploading non MP3 media, MC fails to upload the files at all. It needs to convert the file formats similar to the way it works for the iPod. It also needs to convert the video the same way as the audio.
Playing a file currently stored on the AV300 series device yields a dialog stating that playback from this device is not possible yet browsing My Computer to the AV300's drive letter lets you play files just fine.
