Under the "View" menu is a submenu called "List Style", which contains an item called... "List Style" (lets you select list/thumbnail/etc.).

Not terribly elegant, is it? Shouldn't the submenu be called "View scheme" (or something), with "List style" as an item under it?

It's not in the list of changes, but I think that this build has a TV control that should work again.

You're correct.   Dang.  This will take us at least a week to untangle.  Can we call it "or something"?  ;)

It would be great if you could untangle the individual styles from the list so that separate buttons can be added to the top or bottom button bar.  :)

Nomad Jukebox 3...

When uploading to handheld, it show's a box saying that the transfer is complete...
The only problem, Nothing was transfered....

Any idea as to when this issue with the handheld will be resolved?

Sadly, similar symptoms in v10.65:

1.  No playlists are available after sync.
2.  Accessing audible books via BROWSE>GENRE, books do not play
3.  After multiple sync attempts, I have no BROWSE>Artist, Songs, Genre, etc. entries ...but I am still consuming the expected >9GB of space on iPod.  Hmmmm...

Reinitialize many times, same sequence each time.  Same un-result.

Note:  "Rebuild iPod from Database" causes MC to crash silently every time.

Installation does not complete in Win98. Media Center 10 - Install Wizard shows as not responding in Task Manager and have to kill the installation. Then receive this error when starting MC:

Critical Error: Failed To Create Playback Zone

First try to sync IPOD with 10.0.65 failed, but I reinitialized using MC ( I was upgrading from 10.0.35) and then did the sync again and it worked!  I haven't tried Audible books, but my playlists, songs, albums, etc. all transferred correctly with the right counts.  Thanks for all the hard work!

iPod support is still seriously broken for me with this build.  Please see the "iPod" thread for details.

I like "Minimize to System Tray." However, when you right click on the icon in the tray, a menu pops up with shortcut commands. These include such things as "Ctrl+P" to "Play/Pause".  The problem is that none of these shortcuts actually work and probably shouldn't appear in this area.

Unless I've missed it, I would like to be able to toggle Play/Pause on a global basis. So no matter what program I'm in, I'd like to be able to pause the music.  This would come in very handy at work where I've got music playing most of the day but would like to pause the track when somebody walks in.

From previous build.

MC is disabling my screen saver.  I've done a lot of tests and investigations to find out what programs and circumstances cause the screen saver to get disabled.  I've narrowed it down to when I've used MC in full screen mode.  I use mjextman commands to select the various views and sometimes use escape to go from visualisations back to standard mode.  Then my screen saver will no longer kick in so I suspect MC is disabling it for full screen mode but not re-enabling it.

This is a big problem on a Plasma monitor as I need to be able to walk away in the knowledge that the screen saver will protect me from screen burn.

I moved a couple of posts about the changes in the Action Window to this thread:

I also moved one on video playback to a new thread.

Not sure if this is new to .65, but I've noticed it a lot more recently.  I've got quite a few smartlists dependent on random sorting of songs, and it seems to be coming up with a lot of repeat lists.  They may not be in the same order each time, but the same songs are appearing in a group of 20 from a pool of 2,000 songs.  It seems improbable.

10. Changed: Opening a video happens in a separate thread so MC won't lock while it's working.

Can someone explain this to me.  What is separate thread?

Try google for "multi-threaded".

Video playback is under the knife.  This will return at a later date.

The new Minimize/Restore of the Action Window is beatiful, buuut, it seems its state is not saved, if I minimize the Action Window as soon as I close and start the application it appears as restored instead of minimized.
