And what about MC 9 TV?
« on: February 29, 2004, 06:08:13 pm »

Hay,
A while back I've upgraded to ver.9 with the promiss to get better tv intigration and Tivo like feeling.
Now I see that you r pushing toword a new version still.
I wish that before you move on you'd take the time to mand some stuff on V.9 like:
1.  I still can't rename channels with a number higher then 125. (runin WDM from btwincap.sourceforge.net which works swell using FlyDS)
2. Deleting a channel should be clicking on the chanel at the tv screen and clicking DEL, I hate entering option, choosing the chanel, clicking delete, clicking yes.. should be simpler.
3. I can't play a song, while zapping the TV
4. I want to be able to burn shows I recorded from the TV, prefer it t go down to VCD.

They Stated Only Major Bugs Would Be Fixed.

No One Is Being Forced To Do Anything.

Many If Not All The Items You Stated Has Never Been Anounced By J River.

If I Am Not Mistaken HairStyle Is Part Of MC9 (And It Is).

Enhancements will Continue With Future Versions.

Isn't Item 1. chanel renaming considered important?
And what about Item 5?

They are not unimportant, but they are also not major bugs.  We're not touching MC 9.1 now unless someone finds a major bug that others can confirm.

As KingSparta said, nobody is asking you to upgrade.  It was just offered as a possible solution to your problems.  I realize that $20 is a lot of money in some parts of the world.

I understand your take on pushing forward, but take M$ for example.
While offering more and more features they faild at stability, and good intigration. I'll admit that they did fix that fauls tey once had, but most of the fixs for win98 where at win2000. And I hate to e the guy how went out and upgraded becase of the promiss of a better OS, only to hear two years after, "the fixs to the OS are so major, (like bad memory managment)  that will just have to write it all up from the begining, enter win 2000"
My option was to upgrade to ver.9 OR to buy showshifter.

I enjoyed your jukbox, so I went for the upgrade.
Please don't say that the development of MC tivo function is over, and that and upgrade is due.
I am NOT asking for any aditional functions like offline re-comprasion, or the likes.
I do want to be able to name the tv chanels, and to delete chanels easily.
I do want better chanel handling.
