MC 10 vs MC 11
« on: June 11, 2004, 06:07:31 pm »

I've removed a couple of threads on the subject of whether MC11 was worth the trouble.  If you want to discuss it here, we're glad to hear your thoughts (up to a point).

Please remember that we write software for you, but we also write software for others.  We also write software for where we think more people will be in a year or two.

In a couple of months, I'll allow a poll.  Right now it's just too soon.

Thanks for your patience.

I think all of the comments I have read (and posted) about whether or not MC should concentrate on 'document handling' were acceptable.  I think document handling might be a neat little addition, although I can't imagine I will ever use it, that's fine.  I am just really surprised to hear that it has become the number one priority for J River.  There must be over a hundred other user requests for features or additions to what MC already does better than anyone else does.  If some of those things were addressed (like playing DVDs well) I'm 100% certain MC could expand it's user base quite substantially.

I don't believe we've said that.
