Invalid License with new purchase
« on: October 29, 2002, 09:06:44 pm »

I just purchased a license for Media Jukebox this evening, after my trial period ran out.  Trial period ran out much sooner than 30 days, but since I had decided I liked it, I wasn't worried, and figured I'd just purchase a license.  I went through the purchase process, but when I click the link to install the license, I get an error message saying "Error installing Media Jukebox license: Invalid license."

Please help!

Thanks!

System Info:

There is a FAQ here under Jukebox/Purchase above.  Please read it carefully.

Are you using IE as your browser?  That can make a difference.

Yes, I'm using IE 6 as my web browser.  It's the only web browser installed on my computer.

I have also attemped to save the install key to my computer to install it from there.  I've both attempted to double-click it, and to "restore from file" from inside Media Jukebox, and every time, I get the message that it is an invalid license.

I don't know.  Try rebooting.  Then reinstall MJ.  Then double click on the license.

If that doesn't work, are you running a virus checker or a firewall?  Which one?

Did you have a previous version of MJ installed?  Which one?

When you say the trial period was short, did you change your system date?  Is it correct now?  Was it the same as it is now when you purchased?

Thanks -- the system date was the issue.  DH had set my system date forward (unbeknownst to me) to test something.  As soon as I set it back, the install key worked just fine.

Thanks!
