Toggle off songs
« on: December 20, 2004, 08:08:31 pm »

I rip full CDs to the hardrive, but often don't to play certain songs on a routine basis.  It would be nice to toggle off songs so when you click on an album, they don't play (unless they are toggled on).  I know you could do a play list but everyone has albums where they just don't want certain songs to be part of the standard play.  This would be a hugh inhancement to MC

I'd think ratings could accomplish this for you.
I use rating 1 to indicate poor quality mp3 file that needs to be re-ripped from the source CD.
I use rating 2 to indicate songs that suck and I don't want them played unless I manually add them to a playlist.
I use ratings 3-5 to actually rate how much I like the song.
3= like it enough that I don't mind it playing during a random playlist.
4= a demoted favorite.
5= current top favorites.
