Question about Media Server

when running in media server mode, is it possible to launch music via the connecting client so that the music plays on the server side computer and not on the client side? thanks :)

No, but MC has a built-in web server that can be used that way.  It's called RemoteServer and it's configured in startup options.

Once it's running, you can connect to it with a browser.

A third party program, called NetRemote, does an even nicer job of this.  www.promixis.com for more info.
