Was on the way to work on Wednesday,
and a dog ran straight out 25m in front of my car.
I did an emergency stop from 60mph still hit the dog and thought I'd killed it.
Anyway I must have stoppped in 26m (Check the DVLA's info one that one,
feel kinda proud of my 89 Micra)
Anyway being in 5th gear i wasn't going no where when i looked in my mirror and
realised that the car behind me wasn't stopping in the same way.
Shunted up the back at I'd imagine about 30mph.
When I came to a stop a second time my car was not quite the same length
as it was before.
Couldn't get outside the right hand side cuz it was a blind bend 60mph corner.
Couldn't get out the left side cuz the doors were Jammed,
till someone renched them open for me.
Anyway on escaping it turned out that the dog was fine (Golden Retriever),
although it may have a slightly painful leg where it hit the bumper.
Sadly can't say the same about my poor car.
We've been together for four years 1/2
and 36000 miles.
now she's somewhat squished.
Weirdly it was also 4 years to the day since i passed my test for the same car.
So there you go she gave her life to save a life!
Anyway so there you go. My story for the week
