New fields--rating stars?
« on: August 09, 2006, 01:32:26 am »

I am creating four new rating fields--one for each member of my family--and want to store the integer in the tags.  Therefore--A,B,D,K will all be stored in the tags as 1;2;3;4;5.  Is there a way to create a field which does exactly what the rating field does by showing stars?  I have created these four fields but am limited to manually typing in a number.  I also do not need the plain Rating field unless there is a way to map A to Rating or B to rating, etc.

Hard to explain but I basically want a way to get stars to "another" field.

No, the same request has been asked for.....years.

Make as many custom fields as you want but no stars.

Another question then...

Remember I have four libraries and the only reason I want ABDK is so (example) my account can rate my sisters music when I start playing a song she likes--ooh, rate that for me!

Now, it seems like there would be a way to create my field (B for Ben) as a calculated value based on rating.

This may destroy my next issue.  The problem is with overwriting and priorities.  Does performing an import modify the files in any way?  It seems like if it only updates the database and does not touch the files, then theoretically this would work.
