When I try to set MP3 as the encoder format, it attempts to download the encoder from the J River server.  I receive the message that it failed to connect to a server.  URL: http://www.musicex.com/mediacenter/mc_data/plugins/lamemp3encoder.mjp

When I type the address into my browser, it works.  I am not experiencing any other internet issues.  Does anyone know what might be the cause of this?

Do you have IE7 beta installed?  If so, please read about the problem on this board.

Indeed I do - thanks for pointing me in the right direction.  I had no idea what to try next.

I've been battling the same issue, however I am still running IE6.  I cannot even get to it if I type the URL in my browser.
