Crash may be related to portable device
« on: February 26, 2007, 07:10:44 am »

I just upgraded to 179, but I'm still getting frequent crashes. I'm startin to think it is related to my portable device. The reason I think this is that I have a different computer that I sometimes use to connect to the same library (a network share). That other computer was accessing it fine for a few weeks with no crashes at all. Today I needed to sync my handheld and could not access my main computer so I did it from the other one. While doing this MC crashed a few times (although not reproducibly).

Anyway, would it be possible to get the debug symbols for MC so I could debug a crash and maybe glean something useful from it? Or do you have any other suggestions for helping debug this?

Are you using any third party plug-ins?  Audioscrobbler, for example.  Anything other than the standard build of MC?

You can turn on logging under MC Help and mail a lot after a crash to matt at jriver.
