MJ doesn't find all of my files.
« on: September 22, 2008, 05:42:23 am »

I have around 115 gigs worth of music on my NAS. Yet when importing with MJ, it only find 104.9gb. I have also downloaded another program (just got rid of itunes so checking out the alternatives), and that has confirmed that I have 115gb (114.4gb).

I much prefer MJ to another program, but this is a really big snag - no matter how much i run the re-import wizard, it doesn't seem to find the extra files.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? At first i thought it might have missed the .m4a files, but know they are associated to play with MJ - still no joy. I'm pretty sure this is the reason, in which case - how do i add them to the library?

Which files are missing?

Did you explore the advanced options for auto-import?

I figured it out. Basically the Auto-Import didn't find some files (.m4a ones - i dont know why, and i don't know if they will be missed in future).

I deleted the whole library and dragged and dropped all the files into the "audio" tab, and it simply found their location. Superb! I now have an itunes killer.
