Remember last track / position played for specific albums
« on: August 17, 2010, 10:31:46 am »

Hi there,

maybe a stupid question, but I was not able to find it with the search box.

Is there any functionality that makes MC15 remember the last track and position within an album just like iTunes does? This is very comfortable when playing audio books (but rather nasty when playing music :) ).

Is there anything like this implemented in MC?

Cheers!

What you're looking for is called a "bookmark".  It is a tag field and only applies to videos and audiobooks, I think.

Hi,

first of all thanks for the hint! I will try that.
But how does MC know if the file concerned is an audio book? I guess it will not be enough to set the "genre" field to "Audio Book", right?

Cheers!

The option to set the "Use Bookmarking" tag is available in all audio files. I would guess that it works for them all too then? Just try setting "Use Bookmarking" to Yes for any files you'd like to save a bookmark for. I think it will work... -JB

Hi,

the thing I did wrong was trying to set the "Bookmark" tag instead of the "Use Bookmarking" one.

Now everything makes sense, thanks again!
