Sync to folder - Program not responding (Solved)
« on: September 20, 2011, 12:25:39 pm »

I'm having a problem with this.

I want to sync to a folder.

I have created a folder, I then go into the media center,
Option > Handheld > Add Device
Then I type a name for the device, click browse, find the folder I have created, press OK,
And then nothing happens, program stops responding.

ctrl-alt-delete, then I can shut down MC.

Start MC up again, anf after 5 sec, MC stops responding again.

My only option is then to delete the folder I created, and then MC works again.

Why is it that I cannot get this to work  ?

I'm on Win7, and newest MC

Maybe there is a typo in the path name.

Try deleting the directory.

Wait a while when it seems hung.

OK, I dont think it's a MC problem.

I just asked a friend of mine to try the same on his computer(Win XP, and newest MC version),
and he had no problem with it, he did it the same way as I did, and
it worked right away.

Another thing is that I found out I can sync to a shared folder in dropbox, that another
friend of mine created (also Win XP), but if I try to sync to a folder in Dropbox I created, the
same problem happens again.  ? ? ?

 ;D Solved

It was my virus/firewall program that did "something"

Deactivated my virus/firewall when I created the folder and added it as a device, then no problem.

After this I can then again activate my Virus program, and everything works.
