hi,
hi what options should I set when I sync my Ipod so that mp3 (which are already normalized) and ape files will play with the same volume?
my APE and mp3 files are already analyzed and have replay-gain values.
I tried setting the sync options (in the ipod sync dialog window) so that:
1. volume adjustment == 95% (what does this do anyway?)
2. set to convert always
3. checked DSP settings
4. in dsp-settings enabled volume leveling as fixed, 0.0db, clip protection, track based
and synced to an empty Ipod.
in the Ipod the volume are still different between APE and mp3 (unless I use the sound-check option).
also, the Ipod is actually connected to a car Multimedia player which controls the Ipod.
So, I am afraid that in my car, the sound-check will have no effect.
help anyone?
one more thing.
I set the dsp volume leveling to -10.8DB - THIS HAS NO EFFECT ON THE OUTCOME
meaning that when syncing with Ipod the volume leveling doesn't do its purpose though the APE and mp3 files are being re-converted each test (it has been 3 hours of trying by now).
as a result, bot the mp3 and APE files have the same volume (as before)
developers please look into it.
I have the latest (186) version on a new computer (no previous MC versions were ever installed)
