I've got an idea, it's a severe long shot but I might as well voice it anyway..
I like having the number plays stored but feels it is quite limited, as the more you play songs in say the top 100, the harder it is for any new tracks to enter the fray..
If we could add custom fields that increment just like number plays with one exception, you could specify a date range for the field to actively increment. This way we could over time make our own personal top hits views.. Be it either yearly fields, decade fields (Decade fields would take a long time to feel any benefit, a user could simply make a calculated decade field that would pull data in from the yearly fields when it comes to that), or seasonal fields i.e. Christmas of 2013, Summer 2013 etc. It would give a much more nostalgic feeling to the idea of number plays as you could easily see what you played most during certain dates. It would take quite a while to feel the benefit of this but would feel worth it in the end..
