Complete Loss of playlist contents
« on: June 24, 2014, 10:16:51 am »

This is a continuation of topic:
Playlists appear empty in tree

[something I noted Jim suggested as a good idea].

As well as the data I supplied there I have also noted that the playlist files    aka
C:\Users\Geoff\AppData\Roaming\J River\Media Center 19\Library\Playlists
and also
C:\Users\Geoff\Music\Blackbox\Playlists
 and also
E:\Documents and Settings\My Music\Blackbox\Playlists

contain Playlist folders & files named typically:  Ultimate Songs.m3u

[although it must be noted that all the above locations DO NOT contain exactly the same list of files, and also some of the playlists listed in the MC tree are not in any of the locations above!!].

I have noticed as well as having no contents when I try and expand the tree, also I can begin to add contents to any tree and it is shown, then a few hours later it has gone again.

on the previous topic someone suggested that if I have several libraries that can cause issues.
Having just bought a HDD/B-Ray player for my TV it has automatically set itself up as a server as well as client. I do not mind it being a client, but not server [no idea how to turn that off however].

I have tried restoring  a library from the past....to no avail.

not having access to  a playlist facility is going to cause havoc.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.
