Installing JRiver Media Center 20
« on: September 07, 2014, 04:08:16 pm »

I have purchased JRiver Media Center 20 from an email from JRiver, I received an email reply with a 14 day key, I am a complete novice and have no idea what to do next?
Is the 20 version product ready, or still being designed? I was made to believe from the original email it was a presale item...
What should I do now, thank you very much in advance for any assistance.

Download the MC20 installation executable (which is the same as the 30 day trial file), install it. Then run the key sent to you by email. You will get a screen message saying that registering MC was ok.

Then - if you want a lot of good input to bring you quickly past the flat part of the learning curve, stay active on this forum  ;D

Download, install, restore.

If you need more help, these instructions will work:

The easiest way to check is going to the Help menu then click on About Media Center... It'll display the version number there at the top of the little window.

You may also need to install MC20.  It isn't automatic.
