The machine is a Samsung notebook with windows 8.1, and JRiver is 20.0.103 (updated) from the previous installation.  

The problem that has occurred is that it appears the WDM driver has failed to install.  

I have checked the option for the WDM in the options section, and I have restarted both JRiver, and rebooted the machine and yet JRiver WDM is not showing in the OS sound control options, and it is not displayed in the device manager. Are there any suggestions that could help me to resolve the issue. Thank you.

Welcome.  After checking WDM in the features, try installing again.

Hi Jim, thank you for the reply.

The install did not work, as in the driver was failed to install.

I have also attempted an update to the latest version available on the forum, and again the WDM failed to install.  However, a rollback to version 20.0.80 (that's that last version I had before updating) has installed the WDM driver, and this is now displayed in the OS sound option and device manager.

My next consideration is to fully install the 20.0.80 version and try a fresh install of the latest version. Is this advisable, or would you like me to wait and supply any further details?

Try using the current version.

Set the WDM option.
Uninstall.
Reinstall.
