remove/replace a word - help please

I have used a word throughout the library that is now redundant and I wish to remove it.
It is mainly in Comments field or Description field but could be found in other fields.

I might replace it with a fresh word. (find and replace?)
For now, please tell me how I can remove this unwanted word.

Find and Replace should work.
