Id DSP Studio

Can JRemote be used to control settings of the Media Center on the Id or do I need to connect a mouse and HDMI cable when I want to make adjustments?

You can't use JRemote.  You can use a remote desktop program, but initial setup should probably be done with a keyboard, mouse, and monitor.

You might be able to control it from there if you can find a vpn client for the iPad.
