Tidal Masters on IMac
« on: January 11, 2018, 03:14:06 pm »

I would love to play Tidal Masters (MQA from the Tidal desktop app which is the only machine that can fully authenticate without buying new hardware).  So when I make a master version playlist in the Tidal Desktop App it plays at full def. on Mac desktop.  The Playlist does not show up on jremote but does show up on Heos remote under Tidal playlists but when playing it will only play at 16 bit.  Is there a way for the playlist or tidal desktop app to play through jriver???  This would be awesome to be able to essentially stream 24 192 flac.  I know it sounds like a reach but you are the smart ones!
Thanks.

Only on Windows with Media Center's WDM driver... but even that right now it's not really recommended due to possible issues with Tidal Masters. The WDM driver is also not available for Mac or Linux, Windows only.

So the short answer is probably no.
