Installing Logitech Media Server
« on: January 15, 2018, 11:08:42 pm »

I want to use my Logitech Radios and Touch to play from JRiver MC. I believe the only way to use these as dlna renderers visible to MC is by attaching them to Logitech Media Server (LMS) which has to be running on a computer. I bought the JRiver Id so I could access my 2000+ cds on a 24-7 low wattage NUC. I have downloaded the LMC Linux version to the NUC, but cannot install or run it. Please tell me how. Or, instead, describe another way that I can use my Logitech devices to play as renderers for MC.

Thank you

You can't install software on the Id.  Sorry.

Did you check out the Wiki entry on this?

https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/DLNA

Give that a go and if you get stuck, post a run down of what you did and where it goes off the rails.
