Upgrading
« on: April 10, 2018, 04:13:15 am »

I am currently using JRiver 21.
Consider to upgrade to 24.
If I do, is it just an upgrade of my current version with all setting intact after installation or will it be a new installation
so I have to fiddle with all my settings again?

The Devs can confirm but as a general statement backed by personal experience, carry over of settings between versions is a key part of the design brief. You shouldn't have too much to worry about.

Even so, the safe bet is to back up your library from MC(old version). That way, if the upgrade tol MC(new version) does bork during the upgrade, all you should need to do is import the library from MC(old version).

Works for me.
