Track Titles on music on Internet Archive
« on: February 16, 2019, 07:36:39 pm »

Hey all - I have downloaded some live shows from Internet Archive (along with their associated .txt files) and when I import the shows, the titles remain generic, such as radams20080130d1t01.flac .
I had read that the .txt file is responsible for track name and number assignments but I must not be implementing it correctly. (I have just been including a copy in the same folder with songs)
Any insight is appreciated !

Thanks-
-Jeff

There's a really cool plug-in for foobar (at least there used to be called live show tagging I think), that would read txt files and take the contents, turning them into flac tags.  As far as I'm aware, there's no such plug-in for MC, so you have to manually transfer the names from the text file to MC.  Or use foobar to do this tagging, then import that back into MC.

That would be considered a "sidecar" type of file (an external file that has the tags).  Try a search here for how they work.
