Hello.

When I upgraded my Microsoft Surface Pro from MC 25 to 26 two problems occurred. The 1st was it missed over 5,000 songs out of my 136,000 song library. I fixed that by re-importing and that worked out fine.

The second problem is that it only imported about 50% of my playlists. How do I get the rest of my playlists imported from MC25?

You can back up your library in MC25 and restore it in MC26.

I have followed your instructions and backed up the library in MC 25. I have then made made numerous attempts to restore it in MC26 and I get the the same result every time- a dialog box that says please wait and a spinning progress wheel. After waiting several minutes with no change in the dialog box or progress wheel I click on the program and it becomes unresponsive and I have to close it. I have tried to restore two different MC25 backups with the same result.

Please advise.

Do you have another machine you could try?

Anything special about this one?

Is it connected to the Internet?

Did you try the 32 bit version?

Problems like this usually turn out to be antivirus related.

are all your media drives connected when you do this? ... it might be your server is sleeping and/or sone of your HDD drives is sleeping

sounds like MC is trying to verify your media ... and is held up by OS trying to access sone drives
