Tivo and Streaming Audio
« on: April 22, 2003, 10:47:28 am »

I'm hoping someone can please clarify this for me.  Is it possible to stream audio off the internet and to my Tivo using J River Media Center?  If so, what formats and how do I accomplish this?  Please do *not* reference another thread, as I have read them all and don't feel this question is answered simply and accurately.

I have purchased the product and am very happy with it, but I would be happier still to have this functionality.  I appreciate any time and consideration given in the answer of this question and I will be sure to relay the info to the larger Tivo community over at www.tivocommunity.com.

did you check out the other thread?  ;D

==================================

I think this is a work in progress.

but some websites work and some do not.

basicly just put the radio station into a play list, and then restart media server.

you also need to buy the option from Tivo to turn it on.

where do you seem to be stuck?

Listening to: 'Nina - The reason is you (tranceformer version)' on Media Center 9.0

Via : this is playing on my Tivo Right Now

right at the beginning.  I'm wondering if i simply dont know how to properly add a stream to MC in the first place.  Could someone post the proper format for this to function?  I realize it is a work in progress, and I'd liek to be able to give some helpful feedback, but right now I'm relegated to "I can't do it" and I believe this is most likely due to user error.

Questions:
1.) How are stream files formatted?
2.) How do I go about adding a stream to the library?
3.) What types of audio streams are supported using the above methods?

I appreciate any and all help

Today's build, 9.0.157, has some fixes for streaming.

We're trying to keep TiVo support in a single thread, so I'll close this one.

The thread is called "TiVo HMO... Instructions ...."
