Hello, All.
I know this topic pops up every now and again. (I was going to write on the previous thread but got a warning that the thread was too old - in red.)
I would look to browse my nicely scanned booklets and gatefold covers - you know, Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, etc. - while listening, which was one of the joys of an LP (as long as you didn't get greasy, acid finger prints all over the artwork.)
This thread:
https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,120356.msg832057.html#msg832057 speaks of this and talks about SideCars, View Other Art Tabs, multiple folders, etc. and other matters which I don't understand.
How do I set this function up so I can flip through my art folders, where do I need to have my art folders, and what should I name them so that JRiver can find them, etc.
I run JRiver for Mac 20, and just downloaded the Trial version JRiver for Mac27 and it is unused at the moment. (Last time I downloaded a new version, it didn't update libraries and I got lost trying to point Mac Twenty Something to the old Mac 20 folders so this didn't proceed any further. I have the time and a fresh trial copy to try again.)
1. Does this new version have a "look at your album art function" - aah, Linda Ronstadt's Simple Dreams inner sleeve - exist? And does it exist in the Mac version?
2. What do I have to do to make it all work?
(It would be a massive task if I had tons of artwork, but in reality I only have some favourites I have mentioned above for examples, and the librettos of Wagner's Ring and a few other bits and pieces of the classic Great Albums, so I don't mind doing a bit of work.)
If described elsewhere please point me in that direction.
Best regards,
George
