Wrong Data after Audio Analysis
« on: February 14, 2003, 12:21:54 pm »

I found out that the Auto Smart List 'Task - needs audio Analysis' gives the wrong listing.
It sems that the query is OK (Peaklevel = 0) but the info per track is wrong. All the tracks I analyzed in version 8 now give a Peaklevel 0, where I think this value should be multiplied by 100.

Another thing is that analyzing with version 9.0.112 always ends with a Replay Gain = ?

Both things will probably end up with unpredictable results when using the replay gain option in the DSP Studio.

Anyone who knows what is going on?
Any suggestions on re-analyzing the tracks?

Meanwhile I am re-analyzing the tracks by un-checking the  'skip analyzed files'-box.

Still the Replay Gain for all the newly analyzed tracks ends up as a question mark.

So that question stays open.

Will you post your system info from the help menu?

Also, do all files show up with a ?, or just certain types of files?

If it's only certain files, will you send one to matt @ jriver.com (no spaces)

Thanks for helping.

Robots search for e-mail addresses to add to lists.  It would take a smart robot to recognize one with spaces.

Matt,
sorry for my late reply. Did not recieve notification.
Anyway,
Back to your question:
ALL mp3 files wich are analyzed by MC 9.0.113 end up with a '?' in the Reply Gain field.

Hope this info helps,

Peter

In the mean time I found out that there is another topic on this subject. I will switch to that.

Thanks
