I tried to play an album that I downloaded in 2018 and one of the tracks just plays the opening before MC skips to the next track. I figured that, perhaps, the NAS file for that track was corrupted but I had the same problem with the backup. I also tried downloading it anew from the source website and had the same problem with the new copy.

I have tried it with MC30 and with MC31: Same problem. FWIW, all copies played fine with Roon. so I suspect something MC specific but what.

FWIW, it is track 2 of this album https://www.nativedsd.com/product/40818-rimsky-and-co-originals/ in 24/256, 5 channels.

Any thoughts?

What format was it?

Do you have a sample that shows the problem?
