I have been using MC for several years and tagged 1000s of movies. This morning I was reviewing my main system, which i had just restored from a backup I took a few days ago, and I noticed that Aspect Ratio was reset to 1.78:1 on a lot of movies that I had previously tagged. I happened to have another system where I evaluated MC using an earlier backup (not sure which one at this point) and the tag data for the movies has the correct 2.40:1 Aspect Ratio.
Doing a quick scan of multiple titles in the main system, I can't find any that have a 2.40:1 Aspect Ratio. They have all been reset to 1.78:1.
