I've recently started making some smartlists, but I've come up against a problem. If I tell it to randomly select songs from a genre, such as "classic rock", it does. However, having 17 Beatles albums, I find selections from the Beatles showing up more often than I would like. Does anyone know a way to limit or decrease how often a selection by a particular artist is added?

In the smartlist search drop down, choose:

Add Preset > Limit To 2 Songs Per Artist

Edit the 2 or field name by hand to get the desired results.

Thanks Matt, that did the trick (or will, after I nail down a good number to limit it at). Sometimes MC is just so powerful, and has so many ways of doing things, it's hard to find exactly what you're looking for. Not that this is a bad thing. I'd much rather go wandering down a few wrong cul-de-sacs searching and then find I CAN do what I want rather than be told flat out that I can't.
