This was something that I had discussed with Yaobing in the past. Could we please add support for DV Analog to Digital converters (e.g Canopus ADVC-100) in the timeshifting section. Myself and a lot of others now use these cards to bring in cable/satelite/freeview to the PC. The quality is great.
I am currently using IUvcr to record and I know of three other Apps (MainConcept PVR, Showshifter and Snapstream) that work with DV devices as TV cards.
I know DV is supported for recording so it shouldn't be a big job to add it to the timeshifting.
While we're on the subject I think MC11 really needs an encoder selection or at least the lossless HUFFYUV support so it can be re-encoded later. Also timeshifting functions are not very functional while in a rightclick context menu! I think MC11 needs extra playback controls for this and DVD to allow it to compete with dedicated DVD and PVR software.
