encoder trouble

I'm using 9.1 and downloaded the encoder plug ins off the main site.  now my MC crashes when I try to convert format.  I deleted the plug ins, but it keeps crashing. Please help a technologically impaired old person.

Try re-installing 9.1.  There's a link to the file in the FAQ here.
