As far as I remember MC has never
fully ejected the iPod.
When MC ejects the iPod (whether you eject manually or use auto-eject), the "Do not disconnect" message disappears as it should, the iPod disappears from MC as it should,
but it still appears as a hard drive in Windows, and it remains in the list of the hardware you can "safely remove".
I believe this is the reason why, when I sync my iPod, eject it, leave it plugged in, close MC, restart MC, I receive this message:
There is no database on your iPod.
Would you like to erase everything on the iPod and start over?
Scary -> Click 'No' ->
Your iPod could not be loaded.
Use the iPod Software Updater to restore the iPod to factory settings.
Then reconnect the iPod and try again.
This not fully ejected thing was tolerable until these messages started appearing in 11.1 a few builds ago. Now, this is really annoying. First because I have to get rid of these messages each time MC starts but more importantly because the auto-eject feature is pointless if I have to use Windows' "safely remove hardware" thing.
Can we get rid of these messages or, better, can MC fully eject the iPod?
