Cover art - rejected by database
« on: October 29, 2007, 12:18:55 am »

Can someone help me understand whats happening here?
I have a fully tagged album, all tracks have the same piece of cover art. about 200x200 pixels in size
I submit and it gives me this error. Thinking it may be because they already have one in the db, I clear the file of cover art and try to retrieve new art from YADB. Nogo. Is there a requirement for the Cover art that isnt common knowledge or am I missing something?

Not sure why you didn't get new cover art from YADB if it's there. I can understand why your 200x200 got rejected because the largest size in the database gets saved and it seems most are around the 500x500 size which places like Amazon and Wal-mart use. I would try it again maybe after closing and restarting MC. Other than that a developer would need to respond why it doesn't give you the cover art. BTW, what artist and album is it exactly to see if others can get it?

Well, I guess my big issue with that is it isnt rejecting because the art is already there , thats a totally different message, its just saying rejected by database
here are the albums so far

16 #1 Hits From The Early 60's
16 #1 Hits From The Late 60's
Anokha: Soundz of the Asian Underground
All various artists albums and .....
i think I just figured out ,my own answer, ill be right back......

Yep, Apparantly YADB cant deal with album ar submitted for alnums that have certain special  cahracters in thier album name. Im not sure as to the extent of the characters, but apparantly # and : are off limits.
