PVD Import – Cryptical Error Message
« on: June 25, 2011, 08:21:49 am »

Oh no, I have crashed my PVDimport plug-in  :'(
I use MC16 but the plugin was located in the MC15 folder only. Today I have uninstalled MC15 since I did not use it anymore. Therefore I needed to reinstall the PVDimport plugin.
This works fine up to the point I tried to start the plug-in. The import process is aborted with the following log:
Code: [Select]
14:59:10 - Start Logging...
14:59:11 - Plugin Initiated OK
14:59:19 - Auto Import Cyclic started...
14:59:19 - Auto Import Cyclic Getting Files from MC..
14:59:19 - AutoUpdate error: Unable to cast COM object of type 'MediaCenter.MCAutomationClass' to interface type 'MediaCenter.IMJAutomation'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{BF9EA151-B5FE-4A06-A6B3-3687D6609037}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)).
14:59:19 -
14:59:19 - Auto Import Cyclic ended...

Now, I do not know what is wrong because I do not understand the log. Could anybody help me on this?

Thanks.

After a lot of trial and error, I just reinstalled MC16 (without uninstalling it first). That solved the problem.
I have no idea what went wrong before but the main thing is that pvdimport is working fine now
