I've been playing around with the live TV feature. I'm in Sydney Australia and using a DigitalNow Quad tuner. The tuner seems to have tuned in well with MC16 and the picture quality is very good and audio in sync when set to 50Hz refresh rate. The flaw I am seeing is a periodic jump or flash of black, as if the image, while giving a great picture is unstable in some way. I am using ROHQ, VideoClock enabled. I have a Radeon HD6870 and an i7 870. I have disabled MS Security Essentials from scanning MC16.exe.

Any ideas what to try? Honestly the picture even from standard def signals is high def quality, so I'd really like to get this working. Aside from the stability it's as good as the HDTV's built in tuner.

Try RO Std.

Use the On Screen Display (OSD in our wiki) to see the signal strength.

Thanks for that quick reply Jim! I'll try it. Is there a facility to set different video settings depending on medium? Eg ROHQ for Blu ray, ROStd for Live TV? As I picture the video settings in my mind don't recall.

RO Std does not improve it unfortunately in fact audio seems more out of sync. Also updated AMD Catalyst to 11.9. I'll post a log.

Are there any other pc settings I should tweak? Services?
