MC17 and ASIO support question
« on: January 08, 2012, 04:48:59 pm »

I had been using MC16 with ASIO4all plug-in.
I upgraded to MC17.0.60 then .62.
I still use the ASIO4all plug-in and all works OK.
Question: Is there an ASIO plug-in built into MC17 or do I still have to use ASIO4all?
Or is there a better ASIO plug-in available or a better plug-in than ASIO?
My setup basically for digital audio playing is
PC with MC ----> Onkyo ND-S1--->ME12DAC--->ME24pre--->ME850 Amp------> Tannoy SRM 15"
Just trying to get the best sound without going crazy with the $'s..
Am toying with the idea of getting an Audiophilleo 1 with a Vaunix Lab brick USB hub but still reading the forums.
Any ideas / comments appreciated.
Thanks

To use ASIO, you would need a driver from the hardware maker.

On Win7, you could use WASAPI (try both kinds).

Personally I found ASIO sounded best. if you card doesn't support ASIO, use ASIO4ALL.
