Cannot play or rip audio CD's
« on: February 19, 2003, 07:12:21 am »

I cannot either play an audio CD or rip a CD with
my paid copy of Media Jukebox v. 8. Using Windows
98SE OS.

When trying to play an audio CD, the program seems to
start then stops with “Stopped” in the display windows.
If the play button is pressed it tries again and then stops immediately with no sound and advances to the next track.

It does read the track titles so it is reading my Sony
CRX215A1 drive.

Winamp has no problem playing audio CD’s with this drive.

If  I try to rip an audio CD I get the error message:
“Read track failed. Failed to extract digital audio.”

The Cdex program has no problem ripping from this
drive.

My original slower drive was recently replaced with the
faster Sony CRX215A1 drive but all other programs do not have a problem with it.
