Setting up old iphone as a zone
« on: January 01, 2015, 12:57:24 pm »

I have an old iphone 4 connected to an ipod speaker dock. I want to turn that phone into a zone that I can select to stream music to. Whats the best dlna renderer I can put on the iphone so it just sits there and I am able to select it as a zone from jremote on my current phone to stream music to?

I've never got this to work, no matter which app I use. MC never sees the iOS device as a renderer.

Does BubbleUPnP work?

If DLNA or UPnP won't work, it's possible the problem is on the sending side.  Windows sometimes doesn't allow it by default.  You have to turn it on.

I tried Bubble uPNP, to no avail - on both iOS and Android 2.2.

I have tried bubble too without any success, although running it on android works perfect and I am thankful for that.
