I have come across some videos where the SSA-subtitles are not displayed correctly:

Case 1: The subtitles are not centered correctly. They are displayed too far right. VLC displays the subs correctly.

Case 2: Single letters appear at the same position overwriting each other. Later in the sample file, lots of numbers are appearing on the screen. VLC displays the subs correctly and the subs have some kind of karaoke animation. I don't mind if MC won't support the animation, however correct positioning, timing, coloring and usage of the intented font is important.

The subsNotCenterer.mkv video looks pretty darn good to me.  The subs are basically centered.  They might be shifted right just a little bit but who cares?

The animated video I'm not sure how it's supposed to look so I can't comment yet.

Actually the right shift of the subtitles of the first sample annoys me more than the not working subs of the second sample. This is because the second sample is only a short intro, while the problem in the first sample is persistent through hours of video.
Symmetry is very important and I think this is a bug that should be very easy to fix, while the problem in the second example is less a bug than an unimplemented feature and might take a while to implement correctly.
