Incorrect scaling and blurry text

Hi,
I recommended my sister to start using MC. But after the installation MC doesn't look nice... It scales incorrectly (around 125%) and the text is blurry. I have tried to toggle the Windows resolution settings but it doesn't solve the problem (like it did for a equivalent problem with MS Office apps).

It's an Asus PC with a 1920x1080 screen running Win 8.1 64-bit. The screen resolution is set to 100% and the option 'Let me choose one scaling level for all displays' is enabled.

What could be the issue here?

There have been some changes for high resolution screens.  Please try the latest build from the top of this board. 

If needed, try these...

Under MC's view menu, set the size.

Under Tools > Options > Tree and View, set the font.

The MC settings are set to default values, so these shouldn't cause the problem. But I will try to update to the latest version next time I visit her...
