21.0.19 loses position
« on: November 13, 2015, 03:00:56 am »

Anyone notice MC stops keeping track of the time and position into a track? Song keeps playing but track position stays at 0:00, same for the tracking bar (for lack of a better word)

What are you playing to?  Some DLNA devices don't report the position reliably.

I've seen this behavior (time update getting "stuck") on my local display, in Standard View, since at least the last 6 months.  For me, the behavior is very occasional and I can't replicate it.  It happens with audio and video, but it's usually audio.  My fix is simply to restart MC.  After that, it updates correctly, even on songs or videos that it wasn't updating on before.  I'm fairly sure that this has happened to me on MC20 also, but I can't be sure.

I'm double sure it happens on MC21 because it happened this morning on 21.0.19 (for Mac) while playing a video.

Brian.

Playing to my TEAC UD-501. I cannot reliably reproduce it. All I can say is it happens after listening to music for a while...

Btw my apologies for apparently having created a new thread. I could have sworn I replied to the proper thread
