PackageInstaller prompt when recording
« on: January 19, 2016, 11:17:35 am »

Every time a scheduled recording starts I get a prompt saying something about PackageInstaller etc. Never seen this before except for the past week or so. I'm on the latest 21.0.37 and MC is correctly registered. Can somebody please tell me what to do about it?

rings a bell .. but honestly I'm not sure.  I seem to remember when running some video files that I did'nt have the codecs for I got a message like that. JRiver jumps on the web to install the necessary things that are not installed. Not sure that has anything to do with recording though.

But if you aren't connected to internet, maybe thats what its trying to do and it keeps trying until it downloads stuff?

Thanks, but that's not it. I have a fast Internet connection that's always on, and it only happens sometimes when a scheduled recording starts. The dialog box referred to another (.dll?) file below the PackageInstaller sentence. I'll pay more attention next time it happens.
